Strength & lower-limb rehab
A rehabilitation plan starts from where you are now—the time you have, the equipment at home and the walk, workday or sport you want back—and builds exercises around that.
What the first visit aims to give you
- An assessment of what is driving the pain, and whether exercise suits it at all.
- If exercise suits you, a starting set that fits your time, space and equipment—no gym needed.
- How progress will be judged against the activity you want back, and when the plan will be reviewed.
Come back earlier than planned if pain is getting worse rather than settling, swelling is new or increasing, pain starts at rest or at night, or symptoms begin to change how you walk. If you cannot bear weight, have significant swelling or deformity, or suspect a fracture, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for a review. A cold, pale or numb foot is an emergency: call 000.
A plan you can keep to is worth more than a thorough one you cannot.
How we build a rehabilitation plan with you
- We assess symptoms, movement and strength alongside the demands of walking, work, running or sport.
- The program is adjusted over time and coordinated with footwear, hands-on care or orthotics when those are part of the plan.
Rehabilitation may suit some tendon, muscle and recovery concerns, but exercise is not the answer to every cause of pain. Assessment comes first.
